The particular consulting approach of MHP is the symbiosis of management and IT consulting. The digitization experts of MHP optimize all their customers’ processes across the entire value chain with their service areas of Management, Consulting, Managed Services and Digital Solutions.
The Challenge
MHP’s tool support in the project management area dated back to a time characterized by typical isolated solutions as well as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. After a few trials that failed to convince due to lack of transparency and flexibility, MHP’s IT experts opted for TPG The Project Group and their TPG ProjectPowerPack product. The goal was to deliver a modern consolidated solution based on this for MHP’s almost 4,000 employees and around 2,000 projects.
The Solution
The Project Integration Tool (PIT) is a tool suite in which all project management processes are centrally accessible. At its core is TPG ProjectPowerPack, which in turn is based on Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse and Teams. The TPG PSLink middleware ensures data exchange with other IT systems such as SAP. This integrated solution based on the latest Microsoft technology has enabled MHP employees to work consistently without having to change technology. The productive system was available for use after only six months.
The Benefits
Due to the new standardized tool suite MHP benefits from increased speed, flexibility and security in the implementation of all projects. Up to 1,000 project managers work on an entirely transparent basis. This applies to both projects with few tasks and complex multi-million projects. A central dashboard serves as the “single point of truth” with flexibly customizable support for all project management areas. All in all, user acceptance of the solution is excellent.
