At present, we use MS Project 2019 in this training course. The content of the training is also suitable for all users of Microsoft Project 2016 and 2013 as well as Project Online as a standalone version. The differences between the versions will be covered as needed.

Organizational Details for this MS Project Course

Target group: Project managers, project assistants, sub-project managers, team leaders

Requirements: Methodical basics of project management and experience with Microsoft Office. No prior knowledge of Microsoft Project required.

Duration: 3 half days, online training

Teaching hours: 9am - 1pm unless otherwise agreed

Trainer: Michael Nicholson (usually)

Technology: Please make sure you have a recent version of Microsoft Project Client on your computer – either Professional or Standard. We recommend Versions 2019 and 2016 to be able to use all functions if possible. You need a valid license for the version you use. This can be a standalone license, an installation via the Microsoft 365 subscription or an enterprise license. If you do not have a Microsoft Project license, you can also opt for the free trial period (usually 30 days).

In addition, we recommend using a second monitor. This makes it easier for you to follow the training during the exercises from the documents displayed by the trainer.

The training takes place via Microsoft Teams. Note: You do not need a Microsoft Teams license to participate in the training. You can join either via the web browser or a desktop app that you can download. If you already use the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically.

In general, we recommend our tech check 15 minutes before the start of the seminar.

FAQ about TPG Training Courses

How many PDUs do I get for which areas when attending a TPG training?

The number of creditable Professional Development Units (PDUs) – divided into the three areas “Business Acumen”, “Power Skills” and “Ways of Working” – varies among TPG training courses. For the MS Project Basics training, you can receive 12 PDUs. Please contact us regarding the number of creditable PDUs for the individual company seminars.

Where can I park when attending a training in Munich?

This only applies if your training course is not taught online. When traveling by car, please note that there are few paid parking spaces in the surrounding streets. You can get your parking ticket at the parking meter or digitally via app HandyParken Munich Home (handyparken-muenchen.de). The website also has an English version. Please let us know if your arrival will be delayed.
