Business Intelligence with MS Project Server

Configuring Data Sources and Presenting Data in Dashboards

Data processing in Microsoft Project Server is enabled by built-in OLAP cubes. Unlike previous versions, in Project Server 2013 and 2010 there is no limit to the number of cubes that can be created simultaneously and specifically tailored to departments.

Reporting in Project Server 2013 and 2010 has been fully redesigned and bundled in the new Business Intelligence Center. Here, you can not only access data in the cubes but any type of data source. Analysis and presentation are carried out using different tools.

This training course teaches you how to process various data sources with Excel Services, PerformancePoint Services and PowerPivot / PowerView. Then you will learn how to present them in easy-to-read form in Dashboards. As an R.E.P. we offer 14 PDUs for this seminar.

What You Will Be Able to Do After This Training:

You will be able to create department-specific default cubes and evaluate them with Excel Services, PerformancePoint Services, and PowerPivot/PowerView. You will be able to use the Microsoft Dashboard Designer to combine different evaluations in a Dashboard and to integrate this report as a Web Part in a SharePoint page.
