Based in Espoo outside Helsinki in Finland, Tietotalo Infocenter is a leading IT services company. The company’s Project Business Unit, headed up by Ville Vakkilainen, provides Microsoft EPM-based services and solutions ranging from Microsoft EPM implementation to consultancy and support services. The company delivers EPM solutions to Finnish companies across a range of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, R&D, retail and government. Tietotalo has been a TPG partner since late 2010.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Tietotalo enjoys an excellent reputation and market position in Finland in the project management arena. Part of the reason for this is its highly qualified staff – all technical and consulting staff are Microsoft certified specialists with many years’ experience of Microsoft EPM across a wide range of industries and use cases. Many of the company’s consultants have even achieved the MCITP – Microsoft’s coveted, top-level certification. Some staff have even worked with all the Microsoft EPM platforms since Project Center 2000!

Kemira: Microsoft EPM with SAP integration via TPG PSLink

One of the customer projects that Tietotalo and TPG are working on is for the large Finland based global chemical company Kemira Oyj. For Kemira’s R&D Function, Tietotalo has implemented  an enterprise-wide project management system based on Microsoft EPM and SharePoint. The TPG PSLink product is being used to enable the bidirectional integration of SAP and Microsoft Project.
