Prosperi Tecnologia - the Profile

TPG's authorized partner in Brazil

Logo Prosperi

Founded in 1993, the Brazilian company Prosperi Tecnologia has risen to become one of the country’s most prominent consulting firms specializing in enterprise project management. Prosperi has been focusing on EPM based on Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint solutions since 2002. It has an impressive customer list that includes some of Brazil’s most prestigious enterprises and provides tailored solutions to companies in a range of different industries.

Prosperi’s significant investments in employee training have paid off well as its specialists have implemented several successful, large-scale projects. One of these was for SABESP, Brazil’s largest water utility with nearly 27 million customers. Prosperi designed and implemented a solution based on Microsoft EPM to enable 1400 users to better manage their investment projects. The results of the solution speak for themselves: the deviation between planned and actual figures was reduced from 17 per cent to just 3 per cent. In addition to gaining Prosperi another happy customer, this project also won the Microsoft Project Conference 2009 Award in the category “Project and SharePoint Better Together”.

A regular fixture at Microsoft partner conferences

In fact, Prosperi has been a regular fixture at many recent Microsoft partner conferences. In both 2008 and 2009 it was a finalist in the Latin America section at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in the category “Information Worker - Enterprise Content, Project Management and Portals Partner of the Year”. It was also ranked second at the Microsoft DEV Awards in both 2008 and 2009 in the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 section. And in 2008 it won the Microsoft TecNet IT Hero award for a search solution using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

Major competitive advantages by being a TPG parnter

“Our partnership with TPG The Project Group helps us maintain our leadership position in the Brazilian market,” comments Leonardo Feitosa Nogueira, CEO of Prosperi. “As its flagship product TPG PSLink is the world’s leading solution for integrating Microsoft Project with SAP, we have a major competitive advantage when selling to the largest enterprises because almost all of them are SAP customers.”

One of these large customers is Votorantim, a multinational, diversified industrial group with operations in cement, mining, steel and paper production as well as in financial services and new technologies. Votorantim was looking for a way to increase the usability of SAP PS to manage the investment projects of its mining unit (Votorantim Metais), improve performance on project scheduling and monitoring, and reduce data inconsistencies. The team from Prosperi implemented a Microsoft EPM solution integrated with SAP PS that allowed Votorantim to achieve its performance targets within just a few months. In fact Votorantim was so pleased with the solution that it presented the project at two key events in Brazil – the SAP Forum 2011 and Microsoft Project Momentum 2011.
