Resource import into Microsoft Project Server

TPG ResourceLink 2010: flexible and easy resource updates

Importing data manually into the Microsoft Project Server from different systems can be time-consuming, so the information may not always be up to date.

TPG ResourceLink enables you not only to perform the initial population of the Microsoft Project Server Enterprise Resource Pool, but also to continually update it.

TPG ResourceLink enables you to not only perform the initial population of the Microsoft Project Server Enterprise Resource Pool, but also to continually update it from different data sources.

Import data from any data sources

You can use any data sources, including SAP, Active Directory, Dynamics and SQL Server. This makes it much easier for administrators to create, update, activate, deactivate, and delete resources in the Resource Pool.

In addition, the solution provides optimal support for project managers, because they can plan and calculate using the newest data on staff and costs.

Various configuration possibilities and high performance

TPG ResourceLink is based on .NET and XML technology. The administration interface makes it easy to set various different import configurations.

The prerequisite for deploying TPG ResourceLink is a source system that can export the resources in XML. If the source system cannot supply this format, a conversion tool using XSL is available.

If required, the Windows Schedule Service can be used for updates.

Among TPG ResourceLink’s characteristics, the comprehensive configuration properties and the exceptional import performance are particularly notable.
