13 October 2008: BSH selects TPG products to support multi-project management BSH (Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances) has been able to increase project management efficiency in its product development with solutions from TPG The Project Group. These have been implemented as an extension to their existing Microsoft Project Server 2003 installation. TPG MilestoneLink ensures that the department managers’ capacity planning is aligned with the project managers’ individual project planning. TPG ToolbarCustomizer shortens the ramp-up period for subassembly managers and increases acceptance of Microsoft Project Client by shortening its menus and reducing complexity. TPG MTA Server improves the transparency of how important project milestones are progressing, facilitating enterprise-wide project reporting.
16 June 2008: Celebrating international success with products and solutions for Microsoft Project
The Project Group GmbH, the world’s leading provider of products for Microsoft Project, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Founded in 1998, TPG’s first mission was to enable its customers to integrate Microsoft Project with SAP. Today, TPG’s offering encompasses a range of products that expand Microsoft Project’s functionality, facilitate its use enterprise-wide, and support multi-project management; and consulting and implementation for Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM); and training for users, administrators and developers. TPG’s goals for the future include strengthening its international market leadership in software products for Microsoft Project. The company also plans to establish an international partner network to support and expand global product distribution.
2 June 2008: TPG Celebrates Ten Years of Successful Integration Between Microsoft Project and SAP

Now in its fourth generation, the solution offers customers a broad range of configuration options adapted to their requirements, as well as exceptionally rapid implementation. 7 April 2008: TPG ProjectLink Makes it Easy to Link Projects Across Companies Using Microsoft Project
TPG The Project Group GmbH, the world’s leading provider of products for Microsoft Project, announced today that it has further expanded its product range with TPG ProjectLink. The new product enables companies to link tasks and other data between different project plans in multi-project management. The data sources include not only Microsoft Project plans, but also content from Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) lists and SQL servers. These links mean that staff can collaborate in heterogeneous multi-project management environments. They can even establish links on the task level between projects shared by several companies. TPG ProjectLink also reduces the constant need for manual updates while significantly increasing project management transparency and efficiency. In addition, project risks are minimized because information about all projects is delivered so quickly. TPG ProjectLink works with Project Server 2003 and 2007 and is available now from TPG.
26 March 2008: TPG Launches New Product to Simplify Access Permissions in Microsoft Project Server 2007
TPG The Project Group GmbH, the world’s leading provider of products for Microsoft Project, announced today that it has developed a new product for Microsoft Project Server 2007. TPG ProjectDeputy enables project managers to easily transfer write permissions for their projects to their deputies or to managers of sub-projects – without needing to ask an administrator for support. This facility saves them a lot of time while making it much easier to organize teams for large projects. It also ensures that configuration errors are avoided and reduces the workload of the Microsoft Project Server administrator. TPG ProjectDeputy is available now from TPG.
11 December 2007: TPG The Project Group announces its strategic partnership with CHRONOS
TPG announced today its strategic partnership with the Greek company CHRONOS Enterprise Solutions Consulting. CHRONOS has undertaken the authorized representation of The Project Group for the Greek market.
29 November 2007: TPG integrates Microsoft Project with SAP for BAE Systems
TPG The Project Group GmbH, leading Microsoft Premier Project and Gold Certified Partner, integrated Microsoft Enterprise Project System (EPM) with SAP system for British company BAE Systems. The result is a significant increase in efficiency through consistent and tight processes in project management, higher data quality and conclusive reports. A detailed user report for the project is now available from TPG. 03 July 2007: TPG The Project Group Kicks off International Expansion with TPG America

25 June 2007: TPG The Project Group makes working with Microsoft Project Server more efficient TPG The Project Group GmbH, a leading provider of Microsoft Project add-in products, today announced that it is adding to its range with the TPG MailNotifier. Project managers can configure the new product to send out role-specific emails containing information about important project conditions in the Microsoft Project Server and SQL Server. As the messages are sent automatically, the tool provides an efficient way to remind project participants to update their project data. As a result, TPG MailNotifier creates the conditions required for more precise project management based on the newest data. TPG MailNotifier is available now from TPG.
16 April 2007: TPG The Project Group extends functionality of Microsoft Project with its new product
TPG The Project Group added a further product to its range with the TPG TimeSheetExtender. The new product enables detailed reporting on actuals and cost types via Microsoft Project Web Access, a key component of the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management solution for enterprise-wide project management. TPG TimeSheetExtender is available now from TPG. “We kept hearing our customers say that they wanted a more flexible timesheet system,” says Johann Strasser, Managing Director and Development Director at TPG. “The new Microsoft Office Project 2007 hasn’t undergone any improvements in this area either. The new product TPG ToolbarCustomizer enables companies to reduce menus and toolbars down to just the functions that each user really needs. All unnecessary functions can simply be hidden, providing a clearer layout that makes this complex product easier to work with. TPG ToolbarCustomizer is available now from TPG. “Even in its client version, Microsoft Project includes powerful functionalities. If you add the server, there are even more. But users often only need a few functions in their everyday work,” says Johann Strasser, Managing Director and Development Director at TPG. “Users sometimes find that the extensive menus and toolbars are complicated and confusing, and even hinder them in their work. 18 December 2006: Resource Management in Microsoft Project by
“Drag & Drop” TPG, Microsoft Premier Project and Gold Certified Partner, has further extended its range of Microsoft Project add-in products with the launch of TPG ResourcePlanning. The new product enables the graphical representation and editing of resource allocations in project portfolios. Using drag and drop, the workload of the resources in project portfolios can be optimized, keeping resource peaks as flat as possible. This eliminates the time-consuming toggling between different views in Microsoft Project and provides a significantly clearer overview. TPG ResourcePlanning is available now from TPG in a client and a server version.

Product for Microsoft Project TPG has expanded its range of add-in products for Microsoft Project with the launch of MilestoneLink. The new product enhances the links between projects, enabling transparent, cross-project interconnections between milestones and tasks. If a schedule changes in a project, the tasks in the dependent project will not be delayed immediately, as is standard in Microsoft Project, but only when the delay has been accepted by the person responsible for the project. Additional information is communicated to ensure greater transparency, especially in large project portfolios that include several interdependencies. MilestoneLink is available now from TPG. Download whole press release (DOC, 100 KB) Jan 26, 2006: Integration of the Upcoming Microsoft Project P12 Version with SAP The integration of SAP with the upcoming newest version of Microsoft Project (P12) was presented by Stavros Georgantzis during the Microsoft Project Conference 2006 in Seattle, USA. The Project Group is a member of the Technical Adoption Program (TAP) for Microsoft Project, a hand full of exclusively chosen Microsoft partners. This is the reason why the experts of TPG already have access to the beta version of P12 and are able to adopt the integration software PSLink to the new Microsoft technologies in an early state. Customers who intend to support their project management environment with P12 might use PSLink for the integration with their SAP system very soon after the P12 release. Presumably P12 will be available by the end of the year. The Project Group will have a slot at the Microsoft Project Conference Europe (February 22./23. in Munich) and will present its P12-SAP integration their as well. Management (EPM), today announced ResourceLink, the
company’s new data integration module. The Project Group is
known for its unique and innovative EPM add-ins, and this
product is no exception. ResourceLink contributes to
productivity improvements by accelerating the import of data
from different sources into Microsoft Project Server.
ResourceLink will start shipping at the beginning of 2005. ResourceLink enables
customers to import data from any combination of sources,
including Navision, SAP, Active Directory, SQL Server, LDAP,
and file systems. ResourceLink is unlike other existing
products for importing resource data because: The development team at The Project
Group put particular emphasis on the speed of
synchronization while they were developing the XML-based
product. Before the real data is imported, customers can
perform a simulation to test the process, and each task is
documented with detailed log files to facilitate analysis
afterwards. “While we were developing the
SAP Connector Solution Starter for Microsoft, we had the idea of
developing a really powerful and centralized product for

Management Industry and absorbs business assets of 12Plan The Project Group
GmbH, a leading German-based supplier of add-in products and

Project Management (EPM) market, today announced that the
company has strengthened its management team with two of the
most renowned EPM experts in Europe after absorbing the
assets of 12Plan, a Microsoft Premier Project Partner, into
The Project Group on 1 July 2004. Dr. Thomas
Henkelmann, founder and CEO of 12Plan Projektmanagement
GmbH, becomes a partner in The Project Group and takes up
the position of Director of Consulting Services with
immediate effect. He is responsible for the implementation

efficient execution of complex projects. Steffen Reister, a
